The Paragliding Club Malcesine was born at the dawn of free flight in Italy
In Malcesine, one of the most beautiful places in Italy if not the world for flight characteristics, have some friends who after attending the school of Lorenzo De Cicco in Caprino Veronese, Claudio Dario, Ugo, Sergio and Flavio, decide to establish a local flying club. The name will Paragliding Club Malcesine.
The takeoff Tratto Spino is conveniently served by a cable car, now completely renovated, which brings takeoff at an altitude of 1730 meters above sea level in just over two minutes. The landing is the "sore", because the only adequate open space on the shores of Lake Garda is represented by a strip of land used by the Guild of local sailing as a basis for its yachting regattas. Since 1989, year of the patent for the collective group, we soon arrive explosion of members and visitors of the site of flight thanks to the popularity emerged in 1990 with the first edition of "Trofeo Adrenalina - Gran Galà del Monte Baldo" event conceived and organized until 1991 with the support of North Sails Surfing, company Riva del Garda, which brings with it the name Adrenaline. In 1998 and 1999 the club, more tenacious than ever and share reached thirty members, is fighting on all fronts to bring back the show, which sold the brand Adrenalina to another owner, takes the name of "Nafta Watch". And again success and the participants, but the Guild, as is fitting claims its space and then the club hijacks paragliders to another piece of land to land, in Retelino. It grows but the club grow practitioners who choose to come and spend the holidays in Malcesine to fly, and then the council, finally, after years of battles also made a petition for a private landing, solves the issue by providing a new area two kilometers from the town to the practice of free flying exclusively. In 2003 the return of the brand Adrenalina and is immediately hit with the shooting of an event that, on the first weekend of October, to Malcesine 200 drivers to show.
